The beauty of blogging is that it presents a forum for any rant or rave. As all of you are aware, the NHL is in a huge state of flux. It needs repair and here's how it'll get done:
1. Draft lottery(They've all ready incorporated it and it is working beautifully)
2. TV deal with Europe. European players want to see their prospective job market. It makes sense, right? Bowling ranks higher in the US in the television market so why would Bettman insist that all is well with the NHL?
3. Change the playoff format from the top eight in each conference to the top sixteen overall. This would provide more competitiveness and a chance for Montreal vs Toronto in the finals. Sure there are drawbacks, but each team would try harder for home ice advantage because let's face it, Vancouver vs Florida in the first round would be a drain on the pocket books.
4. More teams in Canada. I don't need to explain this any further.
5. Combining the All-Star game and the Winter Classic. This would create a more entertaining scenerio because regular season games are important and the television viewership would more than likely double in the US. Fans want to see the star players.
So in conclusion, Mr. Bettman, I don't know exactly why you decide what you decide, but you need to put a shot in the arm of the NHL(not steroids) to fix it. Give the fans what they want and not the New Orleans Levees probably your next expansion team. Whoops, gave him an idea.

The blowout
Hey Everyone,
Today was a great day for hockey in the APHL(Artillary Park Hockey League.) We played three games and the Bastos Eyed Bandits won all three.
Dave Kaye scored 10 goals and added 6 assists. Craig Dillon also scored 10 goals. Newcomer Todd Servage was welcomed to the team with contributing 10 goals. Where does Dave recruit his team?
The nightmare might not be over as Chuck Trentadue will be coming off the injured reserve list any day now and is listed as probable for the next game.
Justin Robertson is still in reconditioning in the minors but is expected to be called up.
10-0
10-5
10-6
Charles won the shootout as well as adding 2 goals, 2 asst
Mark had 2 goals, 1 asst
Blue was amazing on his now infamous bank shots, netting 3 goals.
Ian was exceptional with 6 goals.
Although we got blown out by Dave's boys, Norm was outstanding in goal.
Ok, so we need team names. Any thoughts?
I don't have information for Dave's team, so perhaps Dave can shed some light.

Welcome
Hey Gang,
This is a work in progress and I hope this works out. This is a place to post any comments on our floor hockey teams, funny moments and crazy scores. Trash talking is welcome, but I hope that we keep swearing out of it. Our wives and girlfriends will probably be reading this blog. Hopefully, we'll keep scores updated, cool plays and other moments. Photos will be a great addition too. This is a guy zone. If anyone wants to talk about the NHL playoffs or regular season, that's all right too.
All right,
keep your stick on the floor and your head up,
Mark
